New Year Poems About Life
We may not know where we came from,
we may not know why our hearts beat.
But only if we live our life together in love,
our destinies will be complete.
New Year Poems About Life
The past is the past for a reason
That is where it is supposed to stay
But some cannot let it go
In their head it eats away
Until all their focus becomes
The person that they used to be
The mistakes they made in their life
Oh if only they could see
New Year Poems About Life
Life is……………………….. Sometimes hearing sometimes deaf
Sometimes green fruit sometimes a fallen leaf
Sometimes speaking sometimes dumb
Sometimes sensitive sometimes numb
Sometimes shallow sometimes deep
Sometimes arid sometimes damp
Whatever life is
Stand straight,never,never bent or bow
Remain glad,never,never sad or low.
New Year Poems About Life
There is no time, No time to spare,
These are the moments,In which we share,
There is no time,Forget the past,
For nothing is forever,This will not last,
There is no time,The end is near,
Love each moment,Live not in fear…
New Year Poems About Life
Your life is in your hand,
As you look down,
You must be proud,
Of what you have acheived, have no regrets,
For what not you have completed,
But have remorse on what you have not completed
New Year Poems About Life
What is our life? A play of passion,
Our mirth the music of division,
Our mother’s wombs the tiring-houses be,
Where we are dressed for this short comedy.
Heaven the judicious sharp spectator is,
That sits and marks still who doth act amiss.
Our graves that hide us from the setting sun.
Are like drawn curtains when the play is done.
Thus march we, playing, to our latest rest,
Only we die in earnest, that’s no jest.
New Year Poems About Life
They are rattling breakfast plates in basement kitchens,
And along the trampled edges of the street.
I am aware of the damp souls of housemaids.
Sprouting despondently at area gates.
The brown waves of fog toss up to me.
Twisted faces from the bottom of the street.
And tear from a passer-by with muddy skirts.
An aimless smile that hovers in the air .
New Year Poems About Life
Black shadows fall .
From the lindens tall,
That lift aloft their massive wall.
Against the southern sky;
And from the realms.
Of the shadowy elms.
A tide-like darkness overwhelms.
The fields that round us lie.
But the night is fair,
And everywhere.
A warm, soft vapor fills the air,
And distant sounds seem near;
New Year Poems About Life
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire.
I hold with those who favour fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate.
To say that for destruction ice.
Is also great.
And would suffice.
New Year Poems About Life
When all about you is black with gloom
And all you feel is pending doom.
When your bones are racked with grim despair
When every breath is a gasp for air.
Keep on going, though you need to groe
For around the bend is a ray of hope.
New Year Poems About Life
Even though you are gone away
Your love will always be here to stay.
You touched our hearts with so many things.
God knew you were the one to save
He took you home to get some rest
Even though we loved you best.
New Year Poems About Life
Standing at the door
dog tags in hand.
About to tell
a loved one about
their loss.
Thinking of how
it could have been me.
Wondering how they
will react.
*************
Meandering on as would a cloud
I billowed bored, with nowt to do
No, wait
At least I tinkle on the crowd, and
On occasion, soak ’em through!
*************
thoughts flow through my head,
as i wait to find the place where i belong,
waiting in line for a long time,
my patience slowly ebbing away
*************
The little girl with her hands to the sky
is content with the knowledge that tomorrow is another day
Her arms will be one day longer
and the stars will still be there
Her dream may wither until it can’t even be seen
but her dream will never tear
*************
When all about you is black with gloom
And all you feel is pending doom
When your bones are racked with grim despair
When every breath is a gasp for air
Keep on going’ though you need to grope
For around the bend is a ray of hope
*************
Life in deserts was sandy
Life in caves was lonely
Life in ocean was salty
Life in stars was resplendent
Life in car was modern
Life in mountains was exhilarating
Life in Sun was brilliant
Life in forests was mystical
*************
I never really knew you
You were just another friend
But when I got to know you
I let my heart unbend
I couldn’t help past memories
that would only make me cry
I had to forget my first love
*************
How are we so “different”
If “different” is just a thing
If we all have certain features
What does “different” bring
People filled with hatred
Can’t possibly see
That there’s not really “differences”
Between you and me
*************
Happiest couples in the world never have the same nature. They just have the best understanding of their differences.
*************
In life, you’re going to be left out, talked about, lied to & used. But you have to decide who’s worth your tears and who’s not.
*************
You’ve Always Been in My Life … ? Even I’m Not in Your Life… But You Still In My Memory.
New Year Resolutions Aditya Chattopadyay
Published: February 2009
Here comes the New Year
And it’s time to make resolutions
For I promise to be sincere
And bring in me a revolution
In class I’ll talk less
In studies I’ll surely progress
All my lies I’ll confess
I’ll go to play with egress
To my friends I’ll be kind
Have my character refined
To a helper of mankind
With a sound mind
I’ll follow my teacher’s advice
Regularly I’ll exercise
My mother I’ll idolize
Beyond doubt I’ll civilize
These are my resolutions
To bring in me an evolution
To follow them I’ll try my best
Until then I’ll not rest
Only A CNA? By Dawn Mazzola
Who are you to refer to us,
As “Only” a CNA?
We’re the ones who wash and dress,
Our patients for the day.
We’re the ones who take the time,
To listen to them speak.
We listen about their lifetime,
In a forty hour week.
We also give our hands to hold,
When someone’s feeling scared.
It’s not easy being a patient,
You’re never quite prepared.
We take the time to listen,
By lending both our ears.
We listen to their worries,
Or how they’ve spent their years.
Our arms were made to reach,
And even wrap around.
To give our patients hugs,
When their feeling a little down.
We help our patients do the things,
They used to do on their own.
Everybody needs some help,
Even when we’re grown.
So who are you to refer to us,
As “only” a CNA?
We do our best to meet their needs,
Within our working day.
We chose to do this job,
The job did not choose us.
We sympathize and empathize,
Compassion is a must.
We try to keep them comfortable,
And free of any fear.
We sit along beside them,
When that time is near.
We hold their hand, stroke their hair,
Just making sure they know.
Their not alone, an aide is there,
It’s ok for them to go.
To all the CNA’s keep your head held high,
We’re not “only” CNA’s.
WE’RE ANGEL’S IN DISGUISE!!
What Is A Boss? By Hollie Davis
A BOSS is someone who comes in early and stays late.
A BOSS is someone who says the nice things to cheer us up and the bad things to settle us down.
A BOSS is a janitor who cleans up messes and sweeps them under the rug! No just kidding!
A BOSS is a coach who stands behind their staff and says, “We are a team” and “There is no I in team!”
A BOSS is a parent who pushes us to be our best, even when they really want to push us over a cliff.
A BOSS is a shrink even though there is no couch in their office, they still look at you over their glasses and say “How does that make you feel?”
A BOSS is a gardener consistently pruning and snipping and clipping away at all the tangled webs and vines we weave.
A BOSS is a zookeeper repeatedly shoveling up what we get into neck deep.
A BOSS is a tour guide always point things out the landmarks to the left and right, like this is your workspace and this my workspace.
A BOSS is a teacher, even when they think we act like kindergartners they still treat us like college grads!
A BOSS is a great physician, they can diagnose a pain in the butt and gracefully and privately treat the problem!
A BOSS is a circus ring leader, even when the lions try to eat us for breakfast, they crack their whip and say, “The show must go on!”
A BOSS is a weather forecaster, when a day looks cloudy they still can predict sunshine for tomorrow to give us things to look forward too.
A BOSS is a saint, Oh, blessed saint of the office give us the strength to make you proud to call us staff.
Thanks you for wearing many hats and keeping us grounded and focused on caring for others!
